I spent the formative part of my insurance career learning about all areas of the industry whilst with Lawrences (an independent brokers in Sevenoaks, Kent) gaining both considerable product knowledge and a detailed understanding of how to build the relationships with insurers that are an important part of securing the right cover at the best price.

 

As a result of being educated to place customer service and trust at the forefront of all dealings, I built strong ties with a wide range of commercial clients.

 

More recently, I have been involved in providing employment and legal protection via affinity groups, accountants and other professional bodies. This has given me even wider product knowledge and an increased awareness of the additional benefits that a professional broker can bring to every type of insurance policy.

 

However, I missed the satisfaction of day-to-day involvement in the protection of local businesses that comes with being a community broker supporting their clients in all areas of protection and risk management, and hence my return to independent broking with Riverside Insurance Brokers Ltd.
